{"id":659,"date":"2005-02-26T20:33:12","date_gmt":"2005-02-27T00:33:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.cephas.net\/?p=659"},"modified":"2005-02-26T20:33:12","modified_gmt":"2005-02-27T00:33:12","slug":"sunset-pictures-from-a-beach-walk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cephas.net\/blog\/2005\/02\/26\/sunset-pictures-from-a-beach-walk\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunset Pictures From A Beach Walk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About 3 miles from our home in Mattapoisett is this great piece of land donated by Paul Munn, now called the <a href=\"http:\/\/mattlandtrust.org\/properties\/munn-preserve.htm\">Munn Preserve<\/a>.  <a href=\"http:\/\/chrisladd.net\/\">Chris and Sara<\/a> introduced us to it a couple months back as a great place to take the dog and it is. Jazz (our labrador retriever) goes bananas when we turn onto the road that leads to the beach.  Sometimes I think I enjoy it more than she does though.  I took a couple pictures of the walk 2 weekends ago; it was near freezing, but the sun was setting just as we got to the beach (there&#8217;s about a 1\/2 mile walk through the woods to get to the beach), which, with the sunset, painted pictures of the most amazing color:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"reserve_land_branch_at_sunset.jpg\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/reserve_land_branch_at_sunset.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" border=\"10\" vspace=\"4\" hspace=\"4\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"brandt_island_sunset2.jpg\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/brandt_island_sunset2.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" border=\"10\" vspace=\"4\" hspace=\"4\" \/><br \/>\nIt must have gotten really cold one night because there were these huge chunks of ice that washed up on shore; the only way I couldl describe them to Karen was &#8216;scalloped potatoes&#8217;: <br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"ice_flow.jpg\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/ice_flow.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" border=\"10\" vspace=\"4\" hspace=\"4\" \/> <br \/>\nAnd then there was this sunset: <br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"brandt_island_sunset.jpg\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/brandt_island_sunset.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" border=\"10\" hspace=\"4\" \/> <br \/>\nwhich, if I had to choose a favorite color&#8230; well I&#8217;d pick all of them.
