{"id":284,"date":"2003-02-24T00:24:21","date_gmt":"2003-02-24T04:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.cephas.net\/?p=284"},"modified":"2003-02-24T00:24:21","modified_gmt":"2003-02-24T04:24:21","slug":"fung-wah-fun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cephas.net\/blog\/2003\/02\/24\/fung-wah-fun\/","title":{"rendered":"Fung Wah Fun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On a personal note, Karen and I just got back from a long weekend in NYC.. we took the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fungwahbus.com\/\">Fung Wah<\/a> bus from Boston&#8217;s Chinatown to NYC&#8217;s Chinatown Friday morning ($15 per person each way, a steal!) and arrived a little after noon.  Per a friends suggestion, we went to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthcam.com\/usa\/newyork\/timessquare\/\">Times Square<\/a> and got a couple tickets for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.42ndstreetbroadway.com\/home.htm\">42nd Street<\/a> and then moseyed on to have a cupcake at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0385483392\/karensrecipes-20\">Cupcake Cafe<\/a>.  Checked into the hotel, went to the show, had dinner at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leshallesny.citysearch.com\/\">Les Halles<\/a> (where we sat 2 tables away from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nodoubt.com\/\">Gwen Stefani<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bush-music.com\/\">Gavin Rossdale<\/a>&#8230; behind us was <a href=\"http:\/\/abc.abcnews.go.com\/primetime\/specials\/bachelor\/bios\/Angela.html\">Angela<\/a> from &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/abc.abcnews.go.com\/primetime\/specials\/bachelor\/\">The Bachelor<\/a>&#8216; !!!!).  Saturday we had a late breakfast, went to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chelseamarket.com\/enter\/index.html\">Chelsea Market<\/a> to look at cooking stuff for Karen and then took the ferry over to see my grandparents in Staten Island.  They took us to Pal Joey&#8217;s for some fabulous Italian food and then I got my grandpa to break out the 20 year slide projector and watch slides from the 50&#8217;s and 60&#8217;s.
