{"id":2119,"date":"2015-06-01T13:50:48","date_gmt":"2015-06-01T21:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cephas.net\/blog\/?p=2119"},"modified":"2015-06-01T13:54:34","modified_gmt":"2015-06-01T21:54:34","slug":"what-i-did-this-weekend-05312015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cephas.net\/blog\/2015\/06\/01\/what-i-did-this-weekend-05312015\/","title":{"rendered":"What I did this weekend: 05\/31\/2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7792\/18141646648_595442a069_z_d.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saturday: last spring soccer game of the year for the oldest, then packed up the car with camping gear for a Scouting camping overnight at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recreation.gov\/camping\/beaver-campground\/r\/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&#038;parkId=71650\">Beaver Campground<\/a> in Washington, which doesn&#8217;t look like much but was a ton of fun for the ten or so boys who came.  Dinner was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everydaydutchoven.com\/2014\/09\/no-boil-baked-ziti-with-sausage-and.html\">baked ziti<\/a> in the dutch oven<\/li>\n<p> (customized with kale and bok choy) followed by the same <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everydaydutchoven.com\/2013\/09\/tenntucky-blackberry-cobbler.html\">berry cobbler<\/a> we made last weekend, again in the dutch oven.  There&#8217;s a river within 100 yards of the campground which was super painful to navigate without shoes on but all the boys somehow made it to the other side and spent a good couple hours throwing rocks in the water and acting like they owned the place. <\/p>\n<li>Sunday: Bright and early start (little dude woke up at 5:50am), got the charcoal going in the dutch oven, Karen had all the ingredients prepared for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everydaydutchoven.com\/2015\/01\/upside-down-banana-walnut-french-toast.html\">banana walnut upside down french toast<\/a>, minus the walnuts, which was epic.  Boys did another couple hours by the river, lost a couple shoes but no major or minor injuries beyond the teeth chattering.  We got packed up and on the way back stopped at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bridge_of_the_Gods_%28modern_structure%29\">Bridge of the Gods<\/a>, where we had a nice little lunch at <a href=\"http:\/\/charburger84.com\/\">Char Burger<\/a> and bought a 14 pound salmon from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Northwest-Fish-Hogs\/893469914010671\">Northwest Fish Hogs<\/a> which Karen then carved up last night.
