{"id":198,"date":"2002-12-29T23:16:48","date_gmt":"2002-12-30T03:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.cephas.net\/?p=198"},"modified":"2002-12-29T23:16:48","modified_gmt":"2002-12-30T03:16:48","slug":"prey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cephas.net\/blog\/2002\/12\/29\/prey\/","title":{"rendered":"Prey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Got in bed at 10:30pm last night and read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0066214122\/cephasnet-20\/\">Prey<\/a> from start to finish&#8230; it was one of those books you just can&#8217;t put down until you&#8217;re done.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crichton-official.com\/\">Michael Crichton<\/a> had to do research on genetics, nanotechnology, distributed intelligence and a host of other subjects to get this book out the door&#8230; I can&#8217;t wait for the movie, according to the official site:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The film version of Prey is now in development at Twentieth Century Fox. No details yet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And how many fictional novels have a bibliography? Go back to school? Write some software that emulates distributed intelligence?
